    AFO aims to ensure that all autistic individuals and their families can achieve their full potential for health and well-being in their communities. Our Healthcare Provider training addresses the unique barriers that autistic patients face in traditional healthcare settings and provides education and resources for improved service delivery.

  • Health Awareness Campaigns

    AFO is committed to autistic Oklahomans living long, healthy, and full lives. We prioritize science-based research and being responsive to the health issues that impact the individuals and families we serve most.   • Sensory Kits for Health & Safety Professionals

    AFO has provided over 1,000 sensory kits to healthcare professionals, law enforcement officers, emergency first responders, firefighters, school resource officers, and educators nationwide. AFO Sensory Kits can be purchased on our website, and a how-to training is available upon request.

  • Training for First Responders & Law Enforcement

    AFO connects law enforcement agents and emergency first responders to education and resources to help them better serve and assist autistic Oklahomans in their line of work. Our CLEET-certified trainers travel the state to provide baseline education, typical scenarios, and practical solutions. To request training for your agency, click the button below.

  • Community Safety Events

    AFO offers two interactive public safety events to help autistic individuals feel safe in their local communities. Project: Safe Stop gives drivers and autistic passengers a chance to practice safe traffic stops in a controlled environment.   • Free Vehicle Safety Resources

    AFO offers free pre-printed self-identification cards for wallets and vehicle visors or windshields. Choose from either a "Passenger is Autistic" or "Driver is Autistic" visor card or a self-identification wallet card that can be handed to law enforcement when showing an ID. To receive any of these self-identification cards at no cost to you, click the button below and be sure to provide us with your mailing address in the form.
